How many miles..

Hey, what's shakin'!? I just throwed my Big Ass tarp over my Trike. I'm about to call it quits for the year.. I still gotta winterize the house! I'll probably pull the DR indoors for a spruce up. What say? How many miles did I get this year, well it's funny ya ask?!..

Here, take a puff.. See, it used to be that miles were important to me. I remember 3,000mi. In a six to eight month riding season was a good year. I don't ride 10,000mi once a year to PARK my Bike and walk from bar to bar to buy $8.00 beers anyhow! I'm not a weekend warrior on a full dressed, full fairing $50,000 Bike either! I'm just an average rider who would pull 200-300mi. on ANY given day if it were possible.

This year I can honestly say I could have used a few more miles though. This nerve pain I have has kept me from hitting my base goals for the first time I can remember. I still hit it around the area for most of the Summer, but it is what it is. I racked up medical bills when I set my goals on feeling better but by God, I think I made it over the hump!

And that's the way it's gonna go I 'spect. (Some of the shit they forget to tell ya about when ya get older..) But there was YEARS where I got my share and half the next fellas! I just have to go through my pictures and tell lies with my Brothers a little more often I guess. Slip into the interzone and talk about Bikes more. I still have to live my lifestyle, MY way. Maybe there's gonna be more years like this where miles are slow coming.. I'm sure glad that there's a place to call Home and some tolerable folks out there to trade lies with still!

Yeah, I s'pose you better ride out! Make SO many memories that when the time comes that miles are hard to come by, you can take a breath and remember: "That's ok, I got mine! I can afford to sit this one out." Later..
